My pen and ink drawings are composed of art forms I see in nature.  Texture is a primary tool that I use.  When seeing a tree, for example, my eye goes directly to the characteristics of the bark. It is the surfaces, roughness and smoothness, that I try to capture through this artwork to communicate a visceral sense of touch.

My recent figurative drawings are my own interpretation of primitive art subjects, still using texture as the process   Again, adding my own patterning style to these flat monotone pieces, it is my intention to bring these forms to life in the eyes of the viewer.  Forms from nature appear in all of this work.
